There are several main differences between massage tables and massage chairs. First, massage chairs can be portable, whereas massage tables are stationary for the most part. Portable tables do exist, but are not as common as portable chairs. Massage tables require patients to lie down in order to receive a massage. Massage chairs allow patients to receive massage therapy from a seated position. Finally, when you give a massage with a massage chair, you will not have to bend over quite as far as you will with a table.
Research studies conducted in the United States, Europe, and Asia have documented that massage therapy has an impressive range of physical, mental, and emotional benefits including, but not limited to reducing the effects of stress, relaxing tense muscles, increasing blood circulation, decreasing chronic pain, strengthening the immune system, improving nerve functioning, benefitting sleep, and improving skin tone.
