Comfort & Ergonomics: Comfort and Ergonomics helps with relaxation. In a massage chair the body should fit well in the chair and should be comforting to the body. The Orion has a plush back rest cover and a large rectangular shoulder pillow. The back cover is good, but the second pillow is too wide and perhaps too thin. The fit of the chair is otherwise comfortable. The curved armrests are very comfortable and the chair can be adjusted from 115 degrees to 170 degrees. Another plus is the leg rest is extendable an extra 4 inches. The paddle mechanism in the calf massager is effective and can be positioned for maximum effect. The manual levers are fairly intuitive in their position. Our rating in this category is 17.
A very small number of massage chairs actually claim to have rollers in the feet bottoms. So, the feet end up getting the same kind of therapy that the back does with the standard back rollers. I believe the Elite Optima and one of the King Kong chairs have the foot rollers in addition to the airbags. Human Touch claims that their HT-9500 massage chair has "paddles" in the ottoman that create a very unique feel when you use that chair. That chair, in my opinion and based on the many, many chairs I have sat in, has the best foot and calf massager of any of the massage chairs we've seen. It is a wonderful experience for your feet.
