Tub chairs are a great modern alternative to the typical arm chair seating that we have in our living rooms when we want to great just that little bit of extra seating space without having to have a whole extra sofa cluttering up the room. However, whilst an armchair is indeed the perfect addition to your living room they sometimes have a tendency to look a little bulky and large in smaller spaces and in these cases tub chairs are the perfect replacement! These are very much like arm chairs but instead of the big bulky arm rests and back rests which can sometimes make arm chairs cumbersome, the tub chair is a very sleek and minimalist design that comfortably fits into any room. As the name suggests, these chairs have a very tubular shape and the backrest and arm rests connect together as one single panel that curves around half of the chair. You then have a circular seat in the centre of this which is cushioned and padded for you to sit on. Simple!
Once you have found the right style to harmoniously blend in with your dining room you also have to consider the fabric or texture your dining arm chair will have. There are so many different varieties of fabrics available ranging from leather, to cotton, to silk and vinyl also available in an equally large variety of colors. So ensure that you take your time to select a fabric as well as color that harmoniously blends in with your existing color theme. This does not mean to say that everything has to be the same color, by far. As long as the colors interact well with one another and exude a sense of balance and harmony then any choice is a great one.
Leather does have its drawbacks however. It could retain a temperature that is well above or below the ambient temperature of a given room for example. This could make it uncomfortable to sit on initially. But the user's body temperature quickly adjusts to the temperature disparity.
Typically however for both office and home use you can hardly go wrong by purchasing an arm chair. Of course this type of arm chair will be more expensive than a regular imitation leather arm chair. But consider the lack of maintenance, easy to clean material, and the well-documented longevity of leather as opposed to other furniture covering materials and, it's obvious, a leather arm chair is hard to beat.
